Bistro Blackwood is Jock Zonfrillo’s lively bistro located in the east end of Adelaide’s CBD, and is the sibling of Restaurant Orana which was recently named Australia’s restaurant of the year by Gourmet Traveller magazine.
It’s a place for everyone where they serve a seasonally evolving menu with daily specials drawing from the same indigenous ingredients and techniques that they bring to life at Orana. It’s the same style, but more approachable and they love having families in so there’s a great choice of kids meals available.
Bistro Blackwood is a project for the Orana team, a space for their chefs to be creative and use seasonal ingredients from their local organic farmers and suppliers, or what their forager has discovered that day.
Their menu includes bistro classics alongside a punchy local-leaning wine list with an emphasis on lo-fi producers. Guests wanting to splash out beyond the 40-bottle list can order off Restaurant Orana’s 400-bottle spread, curated by their Sommelier.
