A weather forecast of 22 degrees was the first telltale sign that the East End was about to explode!
As part of the 2017 Adelaide Fashion Festival and the first ever Adelaide leg of the Vogue Festival, the East End Social kicked off on Saturday the 14th of October.
It marked the official end to the Vogue Festival, which saw exclusive in store-offers, street activation’s and events, pop-up bars, competitions, prizes and a heap of fun throughout Rundle Mall and Rundle Street East.
The city was buzzing with excitement and fashion fever, as East End Social attendees made their way to the picturesque Vardon Ave for the first ever fashion parade & street party to hit the lane-way.
The afternoon featured a selection of Wine and Spirits from East End Cellars & The Tasting Room, as well as dedicated Gin & Tonic and Espresso Martini Bars popping up street side. Being served throughout the day were Canapes carefully designed and created by Mother Vine Head Chef – Adrian Bernardi with special a Risotto made by long time East End favourites, Amalfi Ristorante.
The runway saw the latest styles and trends from some of Australia’s leading retailers, with the likes of sass & bide, Morrison, Harvey the Label, Tigerlily, Leonard St, SABA, Jack London, MJ Bale, Naomi Murrell, Sooki, Metalicus, Tony Bianco and Bauhaus all gracing the stage.
The street party continued long after the final runway walk, with a line up of DJ’s spinning tunes for the rest of the afternoon.
